Upcoming Sequel Of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam movies

It has become a trend in almost all countries that whenever a film becomes a hit, sequels are made again of the same film. Because the general audience feels connected to that film, they easily connect with its sequel and the films become hits.

In India too, making sequels in the film industry started with the film Nigahen: Nagina Part II released in 1989, which was a sequel to the superhit Hindi film Nagina released in 1986. Thus the Hindi film Nigahen: Nagina Part II was the first sequel film in India. However, even after many years, no producer paid attention to making a sequel film. After many years, in the year 2006, the film Krrish came, which was a sequel to the superhit film Koi Mil Gaya (2003). This film was a big hit. The process of making sequel films accelerated in his Bollywood. After that sequels of movies like Krrish, Golmaal, Welcome, Housefull, Munnabhai, Gadar, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Enthiran (Robot), Commando, Heropanti, Don, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Baaghi, Raaz, OMG, Dream Girl, KGF, Singham, Drishyam, Baahubali, etc. were made and the box office proved to be quite successful. In some sequel films, the story takes place where it was in the previous film. Its main characters remain the same. So in some sequel films only the characters remain the same but the story starts afresh.

Still the process of making sequel of many Indian films is going on and it is going to be released after next few months.
Here is a list of upcoming movies which are sequels of their own movies - 

• Baaghi 4 (Hindi) (Director - A Harsha, Cast - Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa, Harnaaz Sandhu) - This movie will be released on 5th September 2205. 
• Jolly LLB 3 (Hindi) Director - Subhash Kapoor, Cast - Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, Annu Kapoor- This movie will be released on 19th September 2025. 
• De De Pyaar De 2 (Hindi) (Director - Anshul Sharma, Cast -  Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh) - This film will be released on 14th November 2025.
• Border 2 (Hindi) (Director - Anurag Singh, Cast -     Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Medha Rana) - This film will be released on 22nd January 2026.
• Mardaani 3 (Hindi) (Director - Abhiraj Minawala, Cast - Rani Mukerji) -  This film will be released on 27th February 2026.
• Dhamaal 4 (Hindi) (Director - Indra Kumar, Cast - Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Upendra Limaye, Vijay Patkar, Ravi Kishan) - This film will be released on 20th March 2026.
• Awarapan 2 (Hindi) (Director - Nitin Kakkar, Cast - Emraan Hashmi) - This film will be released on 3rd April 2026.
• Bhediya 2 (Hindi) (Cast - Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon) - This film will be released on 14th August  2026.
  
• Drishyam 3 (Malayalam) (Starring - Mohanlal) - Malayalam film Drishyam series all three films are directed by Jeethu Joseph. This film has become so popular that its remakes have been made in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada languages as well. - This film will be released on 2nd October 2026.
• Apne 2 (Hindi) (Cast - Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol) - This film will be release in 2026.
  
• Drishyam 3 (Hindi) (Director- Abhishek Pathak, Cast - Ajay Devgn, Akshaye Khanna, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav, Rajat Kapoor)  - This film will be released on 2nd October 2026.
  
• Indian 3 (Tamil) (Starring - Kamal Hassan) - This film will be a sequel film to the film Indian (1996) and Indian 2 (2024) directed by S Shankar. Film Indian 3 will be released in 2026. The lead actor in the films is Kamal Haasan.
• Don 3 (Hindi) (Starring - Ranveer Singh) - Farhan Akhtar directed both the films of Don series, Farhan Akhtar also directed 'Don 3', although he was the actor of both the previous films of this series, but Ranveer Singh will be the lead actor in 'Don 3'. This film will come in December 2026.
• Devara Part 2 (Telugu) (Starring - N.T.R. Jr., Jahanvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan.) - This movie will be released in 2026.
  

• Welcome To The Jungle (Hindi) (Starring - Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Raveena Tondon, Paresh Rawal and Pankaj Tripathi) - This film is the third film in the Welcome (2007) series. All of three movies are directed by Anees Bazmi. Film 'Welcome To The Jungle' will be released in 2026.

• KGF Chapter 3 (Kannada) (Starring - Yash, Hrithik Roshan) - The first and second part of the Kannada film KGF proved to be a huge hit. Both these parts were directed by Prashanth Neel. And in both these parts Yash played the role of lead actor. KGF Chapter 2 has made a record of becoming the highest grossing film in Kannada language. KGF Part 1 was released in 2018 and its sequel KGF Chapter 2 was released in 2020. Preparations are going on to make KGF 3. Yash will be the main actor in this film. The budget of KGF 3 is expected to be around Rs.400 crores. This film is likely to be released in 2026.
• Stree 3 (Hindi) (Starring - Raj Kumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Akshay Kumar) - Hindi films Stree and Stree 2 were very successful films. Due to this success, the makers have decided to bring the third part of this film as well. This film will also have Raj Kumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee as the main characters, and on the other hand, Akshay Kumar will be playing the villain in this film. The shooting of the upcoming part will start in the year 2025 and will be released on 15 August 2026.
• Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev (Hindi) (Starring - Ranbeer Kapoor, Alia Bhatt) - Film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva was released in the year 2022. This film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt was a box office success. The director of this film was Ayan Mukherjee. The next part of this film is going to be Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev, whose shooting will start soon. The lead characters in Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev will be Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. It is expected that this film will be released in December 2026. The upcoming film Brahmāstra: Part Two – Dev will also be directed by Ayan Mukherjee.
• Vivaah Part 2 (Hindi) (Director - Suraj Badjatya, Cast - Vedang Raina)  - This film will be released in 2026.
