Those person called Crorepati , who show income of at least Rs. 1 crore each year in their income tax return files. According to income tax, the number of millionaires in India was 48,417 in the year 2014-15. After that 59,883 people declared their income more than one crore rupees in the financial year 2015-16.
That’s mean, 59,830 people in India currently have millionaires whose annual income is more than Rs 1 crore. According to the Income Tax Department, the total income of these Crorepatis in the financial year 2015-16 was Rs 1.54 lakh crore.
