If you are living in any city other than your home district, then you need many time to give local address proof issued by government bodies. That time you can take local address proof by your nearest post office.
The process to take a address proof is very simple. First send a registered post to your current home. After receive that latter go to your nearest post office along with that registered envelope. And contact the postmaster for application form of address proof. You’ll get it in Rs. 10/-. After fillup the form submit this form in that post office. It will charge Rs. 240/-. After some days postman verify your address. After verify your address, post office will issue a Address Proof. This all process will complete in 15 to 18 working days. This certificate will be valid for three years.
You can use this address proof card anywhere like to open bank account, take LPG connection etc.
