Shah Rukh Khan’s KKR Invest In Reliance Retail Ventures Of Rs. 5500 Crore?

The name of Reliance Group comes first in the Indian industry. Reliance Group has recently launched Reliance Retail Ventures (RRVL). Many investors around the world are eager to invest in this new venture of Reliance.
The world’s leading tech investor company Silver Lake had decided to invest Rs 7500 crore in Reliance Retail. In return, the company will get a 1.75 per cent stake in Reliance Retail.
After this, KKR will invest Rs 5,500 crore in Reliance Retail Ventures (RRVL). The investment will be at RRVL’s pre money equity value of Rs 4.21 lakh crore. In lieu of this, KKR will get 1.28 percent equity share in Reliance Retail. The total investment of the two companies in Reliance Retail has now gone up to Rs 13 thousand crore.
Initially, some people understood that this is KKR with KKR Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. But this is not true. Actually this KKR is a private equity (PE).
Reliance Retail is an emerging company of Reliance Group. As of September 2020, Reliance Retail has 12000 stores in India. In which every item of common life is found. Food items including clothes are also available in it. Reliance Retail is planning to set up its branch in small towns soon.
The vision of Reliance Retail is to enable customers in the Indian retail sector as part of a special strategy. There are plans to include farmers from micro, small and medium (MSME) industries.
