In almost all long distance express trains, the number of RAC seats in 3rd AC coaches is 32. That means you’ll get RAC 32 when waiting list 1 is over. If you have got RAC, it means you get to sit on the side lower side in the same coach of same train. If you are willing to travel by sitting on half seat then you can also travel on RAC ticket. If you are two passengers and both have got RAC ticket, it means both of you have got a side lower berth. Both of you can also sleep on one berth. If you do not want to sit on half seat and travel, then you can cancel the RAC ticket after chart preparation. On cancellation of RAC ticket after chart preparation, almost full amount is refunded.
