The much talked about film ‘Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva‘ was released on the big screen on 09th September 2022. The production budget of this film is said to be Rs 410 crore. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji who has directed only two other films before this film. The following actors have played the lead roles in this film – Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy. Dimple Kapadia etc. are also seen in many small roles.
The film was released on 8913 screens around the world. The film has made a worldwide box office collection of about Rs. 75 crores on the first day. While all the languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam) versions of this film have collected a total of Rs 36 crores at the domestic box office of India. Thus we see that even though the film did not perform very well at the domestic box office, in terms of first day worldwide collection, but this film broke the record of Bahubali’s first day worldwide collection (Rs 73 crores). The film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva has secured the eighth position in terms of first day worldwide box office collection of any Indian film.
The audience is not liking the film. It is being told that the story of this film is a fantasy story which has not been filmed properly. The acting of lead actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is looking weak. Amitabh Bachchan’s entry is after the interval, that too for a short time. Nagarjuna and Shahrukh were also not given much space.
For some viewers, the film is like an old-fashioned television serial that was made for children.

Demerit of the movie Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva
(1) The biggest demerit of this film is that the story of this film is weak. Sometimes the film starts looking like a love story and sometimes on the fantasy side. There is no coordination between these two subjects.
(2) The length of this film is more than required.
(3) The role of Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan has been kept small.
(4) The visual effects are old-fashioned.
(5) The main villain’s character has been given to a television actress like Mouni Roy who could not do justice to her character.

It seems that after the flop of Ranbir Kapoor’s film ‘Shamshera’, his second film Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva is also on the verge of flopping.

As far as the cost of digital rights of this film is concerned, this film has been produced by Star Studios itself, so it will show it on its own digital platform Disney + Hotstar OTT and will air on its own TV channel Star Gold. . Star studio is not going to get any extra money for this.
