After much waiting by the audience, the film Radhe starring Salman Khan was released on 13 May 2021 in the cinema halls of Tripura state and abroad. Also, OTT and satellite channels were also released in 65 countries. There are reports that on the very first day the film was subscribed to 4.4 million on OTT and television channels. And on the very first day, the film collected Rs 1.09 billion (109 crore) through OTT and television channels. In addition, the film ‘Radhe’ also earned a good amount in theaters abroad.
After a week, the film ‘Radhe’ has collected more than 200 crores from OTT, paid view on television and overseas theaters.
However Salman Khan has sold the satellite, digital, theatrical (India plus overseas) and music rights of his feature film Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai for an amount of Rs 230 crore to Zee Studios.
For the next two months, Zee Studio will continue to sell this this movie to audience through paid views on OTT and television. From June 1, 2021 Radhe film will be made available on OTT and television in paid view at a price of less than Rs 100 so that more and more viewers will see this film. Zee Studios estimates that the Radhe film will add another 200 crore rupees in the next 1 month through OTT and television paid view, which is expected to bring the total collection of the film to 400 crore rupees. The film will later be shown as a world wide premiere on Zee Channel. Zee Studio has set a collection target of Rs 80 – 90 crore through television commercials during the premiere show.
According to a rough account, Zee Studio has expected a collection of about 500 crores from Radhe film.
Therefore, Salman was also benefited from this deal, because Zee Studios bought this film made from a budget of 75-80 crores for 230 crores and gave a profit of 150-155 crores to Salman Khan. And now the film is expected to give a profit of Rs 300 crore to Zee Studio by having a business of more than 550 crore rupees.
So far no Indian film has charged more money than the Radhe film for OTT and television rights. Radhe film has set a record.
