After independence in India, many different chief ministers have been formed in many states. Many young chief ministers have also gained power in many states.

Here is list of top 10 youngest leaders who become CM of any state, who became the Chief Minister at the age of under 45 years.

  • Mr. Gegong Apang – He was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on 18 January 1980 at the age of 30 years 06 months 10 days.
  • Mr. Pema Khandu – He was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on 17 July 2016 at the age of 36 years 10 months 27 days.
  • Late Mr. Mohan Lal Sukhadia – He was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan on 13th November 1954 at the age on 38 years 3 months 13 days.
  • Mr. Madhu Koda – He was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand on 16 May 2009 at the age of 38 years 4 months 10 days.
